LILLIAN, Ala. – The Optimist Club of Perdido Bay members are gearing up for their major fundraiser of the year, the 26th Annual Mullet Festival at the Lillian Community Club on Labor Day.

The day includes a 5K run/walk and fun run, the famous OCPB breakfast and fish dinner, games, exhibits, arts, crafts, silent auction, live music and a raffle.

Pre-registered runners receive the famous Mullet T-shirts and awards will be given in 78 separate age-groups. Dr. Keith Cooper is the Race Director.

Start the day with a breakfast of pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy for only $4 and kids 2 to 8 eat free.

Follow up with a spectacular Mullet/Catfish or ham dinner for $8 and once again, kids eat free. The dinner includes hushpuppies, baked beans, coleslaw, dessert and iced tea.

Music will be provided from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. by Big Jake and the Tag-A-Longs. Kids will enjoy games and inflatables and the Mullet Fling is open to all.
