Perdido Elementary/Middle School Collects Campbell’s Soup Labels for Children’s Home

Posted

Students at Perdido Elementary/Middle School have been involved in a service learning project, in which they select a group or organization to help. They have been bringing in Campbell’s Soup Labels all year, which they will they bundle and send to the Children’s Home in Pensacola, Florida. In previous years, Perdido School has collected the labels and sent them to the Children’s Home in Selma. However, the Children’s Home in Selma no longer collects the labels, and the closest program was in Pensacola. Students have collected over 4000 labels which the children’s home will be able to redeem for sports equipment, art supplies and a variety of other materials for the children to use. The goal of a service learning project is to help teach children the value and responsibility of helping others whenever you can.

Pictured clipping labels are from left to right: Tanner Smith, Drew Davis, Mary Dean and Mason Joiner. They are fourth graders from Mrs. Geri Peacock and Mrs. Wendy Lassiter’s classrooms.
