Peter Bonner Atchison, 77, a native of Hartford, Conn., and a resident of Orange Beach, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011 at a local hospital.
He was preceded in death by a daughter,Katherine Bonner Atchison.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth B. Atchison of Orange Beach; four sons, John Atchison of Dallas, Ga., Peter Atchison Jr. of Denham Springs, La., Frederick Atchison of Brookhaven, Miss., and Frank Adam Atchison of Summerdale; two daughters, Elizabeth Folse of Bryans Road, Md., and Nellamarie Atchison Childress of Orange Beach; three sisters, Katherine Halla of Queenstown, Md., Margaret Levesque of Bristol, Conn., and Frances Milford of Greensboro, N.C.; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday Feb. 25 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 at St. Thomas by the Sea Catholic Church in Orange Beach. Inurnment will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery at a later date.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Thomas by the Sea building fund, P.O. Box 1190 Orange Beach, AL 36535, or the American Cancer Society.
