Juanita Mixson Peters, 80, a native and resident of Fairhope, died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Odell Mixson, son, William J. Mixson, and brother, Lester “Punkin” Horton.
Survivors include her husband, Walter A. Peters of Fairhope; grandchildren, Angela Mixson Read of Silverhill, Patricia Mixson of Clarksville, Tenn., and Michelle Mixson of Fairhope; sister, Anita Mae (Elvin) Devine of Loxley; great-grandchildren, Laekyn Mixson, Brandi Groves, Kayla Groves, Samuel Mixson, Annie Debartolo; step-children, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Fairhope.
