Betty B. Peterson, 68, a native of Summerdale and a resident of Fairhope, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009.
She was the former manager of several convenience stores and was an avid Crimson Tide Fan.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Amanda Linder and her grandson, Lucas Elijah McCurdy.
Survivors include three daughters, Janice McCurdy and Cindy Doney, both of Fairhope, and Julie Konrick of Pearl River, La.; two sons, Thomas Peterson of Spanish Fort and Charles Peterson of Kiln, Miss.; four sisters, Melda Wilson of Loxley, Carrie Lambert of Marlow, Edna Wall of Illinois and Connie Kihano of Silverhill; two brothers, Garland Brackin of Loxley and Fraser Brackin Jr. of Montgomery; 20 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 9 from the chapel of Mack Funeral Home with the Rev. John Schell officiating. Burial followed at Wynn Cemetery in Summerdale.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 19059 S. Greeno Road, Fairhope, AL 36532.
Arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale.
