Dorothy Louise “Little Bit” Peterson-Haley, born Nov. 20, 1949, to Andrew and Dorothy Peterson Sr. of Point Clear, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007.
She was united in marriage to Howard Haley on Feb. 14, 2002, until May 1, 2004. She resided in Point Clear until death Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007.
She attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Point Clear, Alabama under the leadership of the late Rev. A. L. Whitfield, for a number of years. After his death she united with New Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. John Whitfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Dorothy Peterson Sr.,; two aunts, Tallulah Allen and Rose Dennis; two uncles Timothy Coleman and Gilbert Allen.
Survivors include two devoted sons Byron (Patricia) Peterson and Albert Peterson; one devoted sister Deborah (Percy) Jackson; five brothers Andrew Peterson Jr., Gilbert Peterson, Clell (Maurine) Peterson, Gill (Carol) Peterson, Milton (Elvina) Peterson; one devoted cousin, Hazel Allen; two devoted friends, Eveleane Prim and Dorothy Mitchell; three uncles, Arnold (Annie) Coleman, Willie Colemn, Gorge Allen; one aunt, Daisy Allen; two great aunts Lena (Ben) Lawrence and Annice Odom; one devoted granddaughter, Ashley Peterson; two devoted nieces, Melody Peterson and Tiffani Gardner; one devoted god-daughter, Monea Robertson; two devoted god-sons, Delwinn Page and Robin Robertson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at Antioch Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Twin Beech Cemetery.
