FAIRHOPE, Ala. — Winners in the 10th Annual Weeks Bay Photography Contest were recently named.

Judging was held by the Weeks Bay Foundation at the Weeks Bay Reserve’s Arthur C. (Skipper) Tonsmeire Weeks Bay Resource Center.

There were 83 entries in this year’s contest, which was sponsored by the Weeks Bay Foundation, the Weeks Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve and the Eastern Shore Art Center.

“One of the greatest attributes of this contest is the involvement of family members entering the contest,” stated Walter Ernest, foundation executive director. “This contest affords a family an opportunity to enjoy Alabama’s great natural resources while taking photographs.”

The contest, he added, also does a good job of raising public awareness of the natural resources that Coastal Alabama has to offer as well as showcasing local talent.

The winning photos will be displayed during July at the Eastern Shore Art Center. They are also viewable on the Weeks Bay Foundation Web site: www.weeksbay.org.
