Betty S. Piper, 86, a native of LaGrange, Ind., and a resident of Fairhope, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009.
She was an active member in the Jr. Women’s Club in Stoughton, Mass., as well as being a very active volunteer worker in various hospitals and nursing homes.
Survivors include her husband, Warren Piper of Fairhope; son, Steven (Kimberly) Piper of Edenton, N.C.; daughter, Anne (Michael) Abrams of Custer, Wash.; six grandchildren, Kelsey Obernufermann of Raleigh, N.C., Scott Piper of Pasadena, Md., Kerry Piper of Panama, Courtney Piper of Raleigh, N.C., Alexander Abrams of Custer, Wash., Samuel Abrams of Custer, Wash.; many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 7 at The Hamlet.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Fairhope.
