POINT CLEAR, Ala. — The Fairhope boys golf team claimed the 2012 Baldwin County championship Monday at Lakewood with freshman Pirate Alex Green firing a five-under 67 for the individual medalist crown.

Teammates Holden Walker, Trent Baggerly and Nick Patrick backed up Green with scores of 74, 79 and 81 and Gaines Bates came in with a respectable 83 in the non-scoring fifth-man spot on the difficult Dogwood and Azalea nines.

Following the Pirates were Spanish Fort (355) at second and Gulf Shores (364) third. Daphne (366) was right behind GS with Robertsdale (420), Foley (421) and Baldwin County (433) finishing the field.
