SPANISH FORT, Ala. — A single-engine plane experiencing engine trouble made an emergency landing in a field behind Bass Pro Shops in Spanish Fort around 1 p.m. today.
Daphne Fire Inspector Tom Bozeman said no one was injured, and the names of the pilot and passenger were not released.
Bozeman said the plane was en route from Mobile to Monroeville when the engine trouble began, and the pilot was able to touch down the plane without incident near Bass Pro Drive.
