Through the evidence shown from recent video taken in a New Jersey Planned Parenthood office, the national organization called Planned Parenthood is under investigation. According to Reuters News, the Pro-life group Americans United For Life Action (AUL Action) has several undercover investigative videos showing Planned Parenthood in eleven offices over six states intentionally breaking state and federal laws and covering up abuse of young girls it was supposed to help. This includes sex trafficking of minors which is a serious offence and now requires the FBI investigating further.

According to Family Watch International, “Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion provider in the U.S. performing more than 300,000 abortions annually”. Federal grants and contracts provide about a third of the billion dollar-a-year budget. The technicality of this money is apparently not directly supporting their abortion activities, but it has shown that this funding supports the overall organization which supports abortion.

I certainly don’t want my tax dollars to support the killing of children so I understand the effort of AUL Action, in trying to stop the abuses occurring in Planned Parenthood offices. I, myself, have been personally affected by Planned Parenthood back in 1983, when I used their office to take a pregnancy test. After finding that I was expecting my second child, I was inundated with questions and suggestions of what I should do. Thankfully I was well aware of what I was doing and prepared to inform these women that abortions are not an option for me and left. But what about young teenage girls who are scared to tell their parents of what they have done. These girls are frightened about the prospect of having a child and their future. Without true convictions for the sanctity of life, babies are taken.

What is so deceptive about Planned Parenthood is the attempt to push family planning services, whitewash the physical and moral consequences of abortion, and downplay the long-term psychological turmoil of those choosing abortion. “What other enterprise receives taxpayer support to entice children to hide their health decisions from their own mothers and fathers?”asks commentary writer Michelle Malkin. A great point taken. Why would anyone want to hide children’s health decisions from parents? Is the opportunity to prevent babies from being born more important than the health of the mother? No matter how old the girl, it is most important to encourage them to make the best decision for all involved which means to bring a life to earth.

AUL Action has called for an immediate Congressional investigation into Planned Parenthood’s operations and freeze their current funding. They will not rest until every last taxpayer’s dime has been cut off. In polls taken across the country, most Americans oppose abortion and we should let our elected representatives know that we don’t want any tax dollars promoting this offense. I’ve already called my senators informing them where I stand. I hope we can all spread the word that this horrendous practice should be stopped on all levels. Let’s hope it’s not too late.
