Wayne Poe, 76, a native of Phil Campbell, Ala., and a resident of Elsanor, died Monday, March 29, 2010.
He was retired from the Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere, Ill., and was a long time row crop and cattle farmer.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana (Orman Cooper) Heathcock of Elsanor and Debra A. Allen of Kirckland, Ill.; son, Darrell Poe of Fulton, Ky.; sister, Ruby Robinson of Robertsdale; brother, Cecil Poe of Bear Creek; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothee Poe; his daughter, Darla Minchew; and his son, David Poe.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 1 at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale.
