ROBERTSDALE — A more than two-week search for a Baldwin County fugitive is now over.
On Friday, Summerdale Police Chief Eddie Ingram issued a notice of the apprehension of 23-year-old Jesse David Knighten of Robertsdale.
As previously reported, Knighten had been sought by Summerdale Police on three active arrest warrants that included such charges as reckless endangerment, attempting to -elude police and possession of drug paraphernalia.
But, as previously reported, according to police records, Knighten has a previous record that includes drug charges that date back to 2008.
According to Ingram, Baldwin County Sheriff’s officers apprehended Knighten late Thursday night at a Robertsdale residence.
“Knighten attempted to escape by diving through a window but was quickly detained,” the Summerdale police chief said in a telephone interview.
At press time, Knighten was being held at the Baldwin County Corrections Center without bond.
