DAPHNE, Ala. — The Daphne Police Department has been searching for two white male suspects who allegedly stole a 2006 Nissan Titan on Aug. 25 from the Hilton Garden Inn.

Authorities from the Loxley Police Department located the truck a few hours later, finding it having been set on fire, totaled and abandoned on Mosley Road near the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office training center.

Security footage captured images of two white males driving a gray minivan, of unknown make and model, while attempting to steal other vehicles on the same night in the same parking lot.

The occupants in the gray van are suspects in a theft from another vehicle at another hotel and are also suspects in the theft of the Nissan Titan, according to a news release.

When asked why the department first reported the incident Tuesday morning — a week after the fact — Lt. Jud Beedy said, “We did not have all the video at the time that it occurred and we attempted to ID the suspects ourselves.”

Those with information on these incidents are asked to contact the Daphne Police Department at 621-9100.
