DAPHNE, Ala.— Daphne police await the Department of Forensic Sciences’ test results in connection with Brianna Parish’s death, but preliminary autopsy results are in, according to police, who won’t reveal those, and other information in the case, due to an ongoing investigation.
The Daphne Police Department has received a steady stream of leads, according to Capt. Daniel Bell.
“You may get four in one day and two the next,” Bell said. “But all of them have been productive.
“Some (people) are calling in suspicious activity, others have been providing video and some have come in to talk to the police.”
Bell said he couldn’t comment on when Parish’s autopsy results will be ready; though many assume murder, a cause of death is still undetermined. Authorities haven’t confirmed early reports that Brianna was raped, and haven’t elaborated on a connection between Parish and a person of interest, Troy MacDonald, 34, of Daphne.
Brianna Parish—or “Bri,” as her friends called her—was last seen alive around 1 a.m. Nov. 12 at Bay House Pub. A Daphne High School graduate, she had been in the Mobile area for just two weeks, having left her Texas home.
Her half-naked body was found Nov. 14 near the Daphne Utilities sewage plant off north Main Street.
