Donald Edward Poling, 77, a native of Springfield, Ohio, and a resident of Daphne, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009 at a local hospital.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, where he served on the U.S. S. Windham Bay.
He was preceded in death by a son, Keith Allen Poling and his parents, Paul and Iva Lou Poling.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Poling of Daphne; two sons, Daniel (Melissa) Poling of Foley and Douglas (Suzy) Poling of Mobile; daughter, Kathy (Steve) Springer of Theodore; brother, Andy Poling of Ashland, Ky.; sister, Paula (Mart) Baker of Eugene, Ore.; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne.
