Carol Wynn Porch, 70, a native of Texas, a resident of Fairhope, died suddenly Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, one week to the hour of the death of her husband, James Edwin Porch. The couple would have shared a 30 year wedding anniversary on Aug. 29.

She worked in the banking industry as a loan officer for a short time before becoming a full time homemaker. She and her husband traveled extensively before retiring to Fairhope. She was passionate about many things, including art, classical music, politics and her children.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Brooks Hayden Bradley, and a brother, William Stumpp.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Gail Gomez of Tyler, Texas, and Sally Kaufman of Wichita, Kan.; two grandchildren, Carol Elizabeth Boothe and Charles Brooks Kaufman; step-daughter, Tracy Porch of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Barbara Jean Harding of New Jersey, Sally Murray of Louisiana and Betty Hawkins of Pennsylvania.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6 at Hahn-Cook Funeral Home, Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7 from the chapel of Hahn-Cook Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rose-Hill Cemetery, Oklahoma City.
