James Edwin Porch, born Sept. 10, 1934, a native of Oklahoma City, and a resident of Fairhope, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, in Fairhope.
He was an MBA Graduate, in 1954 from Oklahoma University. He was a second lieutenant in the US Air Force from 1954 through 1957.
He was a manufacturers representative for the school supply industry from 1957 until 1992, as owner of Southwest Sales.
He was preceded in death by his parents, S. Gladden Porch and Isabell Porch, son, James Davies Porch and daughter, Christy Porch.
Survivors include his wife, Carol S. Porch of Fairhope; daughter, Tracy Porch of Oklahoma City; stepdaughters, Carol Gomez of Tyler, Texas, and Sally Kaufman of Wichita, Kan., and two grandchildren, Beth Boothe of Tyler, Texas, and Charles Kaufman of Wichita, Kan.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Aug. 30. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31 at Hahn-Cook Funeral Home, Oklahoma City. Interment will follow at Rose-Hill Cemetery, Oklahoma City.
