Percy Emanuel Pose Jr., of Milton, Fla., died Saturday, July 3, 2010 peacefully at home with his wife and one of his daughters.
He was born in Point Clear, the son of Percy Pose and Mae Edith Ernisser Pose.
He waqs a member of the Merchant Marines in the early 1950s and was a passionate hunter, fisherman, shrimper and master carpenter. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #778 Pensacola, 3rd Degree Member. He reitred as an insulator and was a member of the Asbestos Worker of Local #55 and was a union member for 50 years. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Joseph Leon Pose.
Survivors inlcude his loving wife of 50 years, Dolores Odom Pose; three daughters, Donita Cox of Alaska, Sarah and April Pose, both of Milton, Fla.; son, John Joseph Pose of Milton, and his fiance, Traci Matthews of Tallahassee, Fla.; brother, Emanuel Pose of Fairhope; four sisters, Ethel Mae Sanca of Silverhill, Patsy Miller of Fairhope, Rosalie Courrier of Silverhill and Doris Bishop of Point Clear; two granddaughters, Callie Dennison of Wisconsin, and Jasmine Cox of Pensacola, Fla.; many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at noon Monday, July 19 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Milton.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church’s “Young at Heart” group’s educational building fund, 6451 Park Ave., Milton, FL 32570.
Arrangements are by the National Cremation & Burial Society of Milton.
