Willard June Powell Sr., 72, born in Jones County, Miss., and a resident of the White House Fork community of Bay Minette, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.

He retired from International Paper Company and worked in the maintenance department.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Lou Pilgrim, Powell of White House Fork; two sons, Willard Powell Jr., of Satsuma and Jerry Wayne Powell of Saraland; four grandchildren, Miranda Michelle Powell, Ashley June Powell, Jessica Powell and Brittany James; sister, Linda Kay (Jimmy) Rawls, Collins, Miss., brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frances Pilgrim of Jackson, Miss., James and Gladys Pilgrim of Columbia, S.C., Dorothy Pilgrim of Mobile, Ervin and Mary Yates of Laurel, Miss., Dorothy Brownlee of Ellisville, Miss., and Johnny and Brenda Pilgrim of Big Creek, Miss.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 6 at White House Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Holmes officiating. Burial followed at White House Fork Baptist Cemetery.

The family requests memorial donations be made to White House Fork Baptist Church building fund, 38713 County Road 39, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
