For their child to be eligible to register for the pre-kindergarten program, parents must bring their child to the school to complete a screening assessment, bring a certified birth certificate and proof of residence, which could be a current power bill, current cable TV bill or current W-2. Children must be age 4 by Sept. 1.

Pre-kindergarten classes will operate five days a week from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the selected schools and will follow the Baldwin County Public Schools calendar. Parents are required to provide transportation to and from school each day, send their children for the complete allotted time each day; and attend parent workshops.

Make-up registration will be held on Friday, Feb. 12 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Loxley Central Office Satellite located at 1091 B Avenue in Loxley. Parents will need to bring their child and the required documents for make-up registration.

Eligible children will be notified of their acceptance to attend the program by Feb. 26. For more information, contact the Federal Programs Office at (251) 972-6863.
