Cpl. John C. “Jack” Price, 21, born May 18, 1986 in Mclister, Okla., died Feb. 17, 2008.
His early years were spent in Eureka Springs, Ark., where he attended elementary school. In 1997, he moved to Foley with his mother.
He was a member of New Life In Christ Church. he attended middle school there and graduated from Foley High School on his 18th birthday.
Five months later he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. His basic training was in Paris Island, S.C., and weapons training in Aberdeen, Md.
In February 2007 he married Rachel Warner. He spend several months in Iraq, and at teh time of his death, he was serving at Camp Lejune, N.C., as an armorer with Bravo Company, 2nd LAR Platoon, 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel Price; son, Robert; his parents, James and Marion Nichols; other family members, including Marla Wolf, Cullen, Ian and Leah Teeters, James, Jason and kristie Nichols, and numerous loving friends.
He will be sorely missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Interment will begin at 1 p.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Mo.
