Ole Prior, 72, a native of Denmark and a resident of Fairhope, died Thursday, May 22, 2008 at a local hospital.
He was a member of Fairhope United Methodist Church, the Fairhope Yacht Club, and he was a member of the Rock Creek Swim and Tennis Club. He volunteered with Fairhope Ecumenical Ministries. He loved history, and was a man of many talents and languages.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Svend Prior.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Hope Prior of Fairhope; daughter, Ingrid Hope Prior (Daniel) Hartman of Fairhope; sister, Inge Prior of Denmark, one grandson, Tatum Hartman; other relatives in Denmark and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday June 6 at Fairhope United Methodist Church, followed by visiation in the church fellowship hall.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the A.L.S. Association; Alabama Chapter; 3313 Memorial Parkway SW Suite 100, Huntsville, AL 35801.
