Priscilla Lee Ransom Kirkpatrick, 74, a former resident of Foley, died after a short illness on July 14, 2014 in Danville, Ky.
After moving to Kentucky, she was a teacher in the Danville schools for 16 years and part of the Danville community for 24 years.
Priscilla was the daughter of the late Aldwin Lee of Foley and the late Cordelia Lee Champion of Summerdale.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard W. Ransom M.D. (1972); and her brother, John A. Lee (2009).
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Robert Kirkpatrick D.Min.; her children, Richard Ransom Jr. (Emily Giles) and Kimberly Ransom (Douglas Stanley), both of Athens, Ga., Carol Lynn Ransom Ph.D. (William Noel) of Philadelphia, Robert Kirkpatrick lll (Emma) of Rockledge, Fla., Matthew Kirkpatrick Ph.D. (Laura Schmitt) of Los Angeles and Ruth Kirkpatrick Cadell of Linlithgow, Scotland; and four grandchildren, Casper, Wren and Poppie Cadell, and Henry Ransom Noel. She also is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Lee Jones, Rebeca Lee Sterling (Richard) and Cynthia Blackwell (Alan); nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service was held July 19, 2014 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Danville, Ky.
Burial will be Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at 10 a.m., at Wynn Cemetery in Summerdale.
