Ellen Prodouz, 90, a native of Carbon Hill, longtime resident of Birmingham and Crosby, Texas, and a resident of Daphne since 1996, died Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Robertsdale Health Care.

She was a devoted golfer up to age 85 being the Club Champion at Newport Country Club in Texas recording a Hole-In-One at age 64 and is listed in the 1983 edition of Golf Digest Alumina.

Survivors include her husband, Walter Prodouz of Daphne; son, O.T. Goens of Moody; aughter, Pam Wideman of Montgomery; two grandsons, Grant Goens of Wylie, Texas, and Coleman Smith of Pensacola, Fla.; two granddaughters, Missy Tillery of Moody, and Beth Patrick of Roswell, Ga.; eight great-grandchildren and two sisters, Louise Bradon of Memphis, Tenn., and Maudline Wilson of Ray Township, Minn.

Visitation begins at noon with funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 25at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Robertsdale Health Care Center because of their sincere and constant care, the Spanish Fort United Methodist Church or Covenant Hospice of Daphne.
