Project Rebound is proud to announce that it is the title sponsor for the Baldwin County Star Search, presented by the Baldwin County Community Alliance.

The event will be held on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. at The Wharf Conference Center. Each high school held a talent competition from which the top winners will advance to perform in this countywide drug-free talent competition. High school talent for the event will include soloists, bands, steppers, and instrumental acts.

As with all of our drug-free events, high school students will sign alcohol and drug-free pledge cards at their schools prior to the event. High school students will then present their drug-free pledge card as free admittance and will be given a ticket that will be used for their chance to win door prizes from local businesses. This family fun event is free and is open to students, parents, and community members.

This is an excellent opportunity for Project Rebound to expose its services to families and teens throughout Baldwin County. Project Rebound will be giving away silicon arm bands with its 800-639-REBOUND number and website to all participants. Counselors will also have a display table up and will be passing out literature throughout the crowd.

Intermission presenters this year will be Project Rebound, Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board (ABC), and Alive@25. Additional, intermission performances will include “Grease” by Foley High School students and a Hip Hop/Contemporary Dance by Robertsdale High School students.

Last week Project Rebound counselors participated in the Lighthouse Egg Hunt, spoke at the Kiwanis Club in Foley and Daphne and attended the Circle of Hope Prayer Vigil in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach.
