SPANISH FORT, Ala. — Providence United Methodist Church in Spanish Fort invites elementary school-age children on a “High Seas Expedition” at vacation Bible school, June 21-25.
Children can enjoy a “swashbuckling adventure through God’s Word” and will discover that “God shows his powerful love throughout Scripture,” according to Providence vacation Bible school director Mary Ann Napper. The program includes music, games, crafts, snacks, and more.
Children start each day by forming small groups called crews. All crews gather at Sing and Play Splash to sing upbeat Bible songs that introduce the day’s concepts. Crews then visit different stations where they sample tasty goodies from the Galley; go on Bible “voyages”; make creations in Clipper Ship Crafts; race around at Ship Rec Games; and come together for the Floating Finale.
The event is set for 5:30 to 8 p.m., June 21-25, at Providence UMC. The church building is located at 32200 Jimmy Faulkner Drive, between Spanish Fort High School and Middle School.
