GULF SHORES, Ala. — The quartet Heart and Soul will present a free concert in Gulf Shores at Grace Lutheran Church on March 29 at 2 p.m. The all-female group is a regional-winning quartet from Sweet Adeline’s International. Heart and Soul’s repertoire will include patriotic, Broadway, jazz, Christian and oldies songs.

Refreshments in the Fellowship Hall of Grace Lutheran Church will follow the hour-long concert, and Heart and Soul looks forward to meeting and sharing with everyone. A free-will offering will be taken to raise money to pay the group's expenses for travel to their next competition.

Heart and Soul Quartet is proud of its many years singing in the barbershop style. Included in its list of successes are three regional first place wins and numerous second, third and fourth place medals.

They have sung in International competitions, and each member of the quartet has sung with Capitaland Chorus, in Albany, N.Y.

In addition, the quartet has entertained audiences in many venues including being featured as guest quartet in barbershop shows.

They enjoy singing in nursing homes, hospitals, and for the Elks and other nonprofit organizations.

The church is located at the corner of W. 23rd Ave. and W. 4th Street in Gulf Shores (about three blocks northwest of the Bodenhamer Recreation Center).

Call either Grace Lutheran Church at 968-5991 or Joan Moore at 943-6309 for directions to the church.
