Quintus Odell Robinson, 82, a lifelong resident of Bay Minette, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 at Providence Hospital in Mobile.

Odell was instrumental in organizing the Home Builders of North Baldwin County in the early 1970s.

He was a well respected contractor for 62 years, an avid hunter and sportsman. He hunted the woods in Baldwin County to the tundra of British Columbia. Odell loved life, was a wonderful conversationalist with a great sense of humor and he lived life to the fullest.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lynn Lipsitz Robinson of Bay Minette; five sons, Terry Odell Robinson of Bay Minette, Charles Gregory (Donna Kay) Robinson of Bay Minette, Patrick Stacey (Diane) Robinson of Stockton, Quintus Levin Robinson of Satsuma and Bailey Hunter Robinson of Brooklyn, N.Y.; several grandchildren; nieces and nephews; one brother, Cornilius Robinson of Lynn Haven, Fla.; and one sister, Jeanette Robinson of Natchez, Miss. He also leaves behind his beloved little dog, Rudy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Viola Victoria Robinson and Arthur Hamilton Robinson; and one son, John Hamilton Robinson.

Graveside funeral services and burial will be held Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at 1 p.m., at Bay Minette Cemetery, with the Rev. Stuart Clark officiating.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Mark Penry, William Steve Perry Jr., Michael Colvard Perry, Charles Gregory Robinson Jr., James Hugh Robertson II and James Hugh Robertson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the North Baldwin Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 190, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
