"font-family:">Ralph R. McCord, 75, passed away Dec. 27, 2011 at his home in Elberta, surrounded by family and friends.
"font-family:">He was born May 11, 1936 in Early County, Ga. to the late Lois Jimmerson and the late Vollie McCord.
"font-family:">Ralph was a retiree of National By-Products. He also worked with Alabama Renderers for many years. He worked with horses for enjoyment during his retirement years with Chissom Acres.
"font-family:">Ralph was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Ray McCord and Ras McCord.
"font-family:">He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 28 years, Sandra K. McCord of Elberta; four sons, Donald (Amanda) McCord of Foley, Ronald McCord (fiancée Brittnee Giles) of Elberta, Danny Ray (Gwen) McCord of Dothan and Tim McCord of Dothan; three daughters, April Fulford (fiancé Dennis Dion) of Foley, Rebecca (Bubba) Cook of Dothan and Pam (Mathew) Pressnell of Rehobeth, Ala.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as so many more loving family and friends.
"font-family:">A small memorial service was held Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley.
