Funeral services for Ralph Skinner, age 80, of Bay Minette, Ala., were held Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbertown, Ala., with Rev. Justin Olvey officiating.
Visitation was held Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10 a.m. prior to the service at Phillips Funeral Home.
Interment was in the Hutchinson Cemetery in Silas, Ala.
Mr. Skinner passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at North Baldwin Infirmary in Bay Minette, Ala.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bay Minette.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Hutchinson Skinner of Bay Minette, Ala.; one daughter, Tammy Matilda Norton (Richard) of Omaha, Neb., two sisters, Vera Nell “Chunky” Ford of Toxey, Ala. and Virginia Boswell of Powder Springs, Ga.; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Norton Ulrich (Daniel) and Sarah Elizabeth “Sally” Williams; and one great-grandchild, Natasha Ulrich.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Skinner; mother, Vera Carney Skinner; daughter, Wanda Marie Williams; five brothers, Coleman Hullett Skinner, Carney “Pet” Skinner, William Ford “Wimp” Skinner, Buster Draper Skinner and C.W. Skinner; and two sisters, Leslie Clarence Skinner and Juanita Skinner Gilbert.
Serving as pallbearers were Rick Hutchinson, Mike Hutchinson, Clarence Dale Skinner, Jimmy Skinner, Pete Chadwick and Mike Thorn.
