Randall Horace Dowsey, 58, a native and resident of Fairhope, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, in a boating accident off the coast of Louisiana, along with his brother, Wayne Dowsey.
He retired from Alabama Power Company after 36 years of service.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 39 years, Donna B. Dowsey of Fairhope; two sons, R. Brent (Jennifer) Dowsey and Heath B. Dowsey of Fairhope; three grandchildren, Drew, Carson, Alli and Tristyn of Fairhope; his mother, Beth Ring of Fairhope; father, Paul J. Dowsey of Silverhill; brother, Mark T. (Lynn) Dowsey of Fairhope; father-in-law, Ernest “Bub” Bishop of Fairhope; special family friend, Brittany Turner of Fairhope; nieces, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17 from the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
