C.W. Rawdon, 76, of Spanish Fort, died Sunday, July 5 after an extended battle with Parkinson’s disease.
He grew up in Lawrenceburg, Tenn., where he operated a very successful real estate practice for over 40 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a very active civic leader and was a member and officer of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #2206. He served in the military and was also a former member of the Lions Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Pamela Rawdon of Spanish Fort, Gena Rawdon Wilhite of Falkville, and Misty Rawdon Coats; brother, Carl Rawdon; sister, Elizabeth Ann White; two nieces and a nephew.
He requested that his body be donated to science in hopes that doctors may one day find a cure for Parkinson’s.
