Raymond Franklin Walley, 73, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.

Raymond was a resident of Fairhope for 73 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and retired from Kimberly Clarke, which was formerly Scott Paper Co.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Walley; and his parents, George and Margaret Walley.

He is survived by his daughter, Kim (Phil) Fraher of Houston, Texas; son, Ernie (Bonnie) Walley of Ashland, Ore.; sister and brother-in-law, Aline and Samuel Givens of Fairhope; sister-in-law, Carolyn Wood of Knoxville, Tenn.; nephews, Kenny Merriweather and Lloyd Peffer; niece, Connie Thompson; and grandchildren, Abby and Thomas Fraher, Lillian Walley and Abby Conte.

A celebration of Ray’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2014 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 28788 N. Main St. in Daphne, with the Rev. Thack H. Dyson officiating.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.

Inurnment will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort, 34904 Alabama Hwy. 225 in Spanish Fort.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Raymond’s memory to the St. Paul’s Building Fund.
