While demonstrating that she is capable of delivering “zingers” against her opponents, Sarah Palin was strangely silent on her own positions on important issues. Not a word about the war in Iraq. Does she have a position or even any knowledge? She has been quoted saying “I haven’t really focused much on the war in Iraq.” Nothing either about her ties to Big Oil or that her inauguration was sponsored by BP. And how about that “bridge to nowhere”? No mention that she had actively sought those earmarks and after the plan for the bridge was abandoned kept the money! For someone who is the running mate of a supposed “maverick,” her positions and previous activities sound very much like politics as usual.
