Rebecca Arlou Hataway Harris, 93, born in Union, Miss. and a resident of Bay Minette, died at her residence on Wednesday, May 7, 2014.
She was a homemaker.
She was married to the late James R. Harris of Cary, Miss. for 65 years. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and a member of the Quest Study Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Harris (E.E.) Ball of Bay Minette; two grandchildren, Jeb (Allison) Ball of Bay Minette and Rebecca (Jeffrey) Coats of Enterprise; and one great-granddaughter, Payton Ball.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 11 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Stuart Clark officiating.
Private burial will be held in Bay Minette Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the Baldwin County Humane Society, P.O. Box 206, Fairhope, AL 36533.
