Rebecca “Becky” Haupt Salac, a resident of Elberta, passed away peacefully April 28 at 12:30 in the afternoon after a strong three-year battle with cancer.
She loved her dogs.
Becky leaves behind her husband, Vincent Salac; two children, Kristine Haupt and Sean Burkett; her mother, June Taylor; stepfather, James Taylor, all of Elberta; two sisters, Chandra Middleton of Loxley and Amanda Taylor of Elberta; and one brother.
Becky will always be known and remembered as a loving, devoted and wonderful mother and wife. She will be gravely missed and grieved by all. But forever a strong, beautiful person and an inspiration to all.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at 10 a.m., at Wynn Cemetery in Summerdale, with the Rev. Greg Wood officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the National Lung Cancer Partnership.
