Spiritual food is essential for all of us as well as physical food. Almost all books in the bible contain references to foods. Luke 4:4, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God”; KJV. Obviously, this refers to Food for the Body and Food for the Soul!
Bread is listed in 255 Verses in the Bible. Bread is and has always been a staple food at the table. Bread has been served with only water and yet is it satisfying and sufficient for our bodily needs.

Zucchini Bread
2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups shredded zucchini
½ cup applesauce
¼ cup plus 1 tablespoon orange juice
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
¼ teaspoon baking power
1 teaspoon salt
1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
¾ teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 9x5 inch loaf pans; set aside.
Combine sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Add zucchini, applesauce and orange juice; sir well.
Combine flour and next 5 ingredients; add to zucchini mixture and stir well. Add chopped pecans or walnuts, stirring gently to combine.
Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 1 hour or until wooden pick inserted in center of loaves comes out clean. It could take l hour and 10 minutes, Oven temperatures will vary so check your loves after 1 hour.
Let cool in pans for 10 minutes; remove from pans and let cool completely on wire rack.
