Franklin Pierce Redmond, III., 87, a native of Kentucky and a resident of Bay Minette, died Friday, July 24, 2009 at William F. Green Veterans Home in Bay Minette.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Cooper Redmond; step-son Robin Blackand, and step-daughter Bertha Wyman.

Survivors include three sons, Franklin P. Redmond IV of Phoenix, Robert G. Redmond of Louisville, Ky., and Phillip W. Redmond of Nashville, Tenn.; two daughters, Joyce Perdue of Wilmington, N.C., and Rebecca A. Redmond of Louisburg, NC.; two step-sons, David Black of Tucson, Ariz., and Samuel Black of Loxley; step-daughter, Louise Dunn of Millry; 35 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and loving friends.

Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. Monday, July 27 at Christian Fellowship Tabernacle, 7480 Spanish Fort Blvd., Spanish Fort. Interment will follow at Holly Hills Cemetery in Stapleton.

Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Daphne.
