BAY MINETTE, Ala. — North Baldwin Relay for Life organizers are busy making plans for this year’s cancer fundraiser April 29-30, and hope to generate $40,000 through sponsorships and donations.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. April 29 at Baldwin County High School and conclude at 6 a.m. April 30.
The theme of this year’s event is “Lights, Camera, Take Action,” and participating teams will design tents around that theme, according to North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Margo Allen. Entertainment also is planned.
Thirteen teams have registered as of press time, and organizers are hoping for at least 25 teams, with an average of $1,400 generated per team. The sponsorship goal is $5,500. To register teams, visit relayforlife.org/northbaldwin.
