Haven’t written a Letter to the Editor in so many years, but felt compelled to do so this morning.
Thank you, Fairhope and Baldwin County for being the constant source of joy and continuity that you have given to my family for over 30 years. You have thrived and you have grown, but you haven’t changed the warmth of understanding and communicating with everyday problems confronting all of your people.
So many small things, but yet, so important. For instance, my grandson, Caleb Tate, along with other children at the K-1 Center were hosted on Thursday by Mayor Timothy Kant at a special table in the school cafeteria in honor of their achievement as classroom captains. Additionally, a personal letter from the mayor was sent to each child. So important, but given the world situation, so small.
We take the time to answer questions when there is a problem, and we take the time to help one another. That’s the way it is done here. We may not move as fast as other parts of our country, but we get the job done, and we do it well.
To all of you wonderful people in Baldwin County, thank you, for giving us a way of life unequalled anywhere in the world!
Fairhope
