Chief Petty Officer, Chuck Wheeler, Retired Navy, will speak to the South Baldwin Republican Women, on Tuesday, March 22, at 11:30, at the Gift Horse Restaurant in Foley.  Visitors are always welcome.

Officer Wheeler played an important role in the Battle of Midway as he served on the Enterprise in the Pacific.  Wheeler is now 91 years old and he serves as a Guide at the Navel Air Station in Pensacola.  The Navy has honored Officer Wheeler by inviting him to be their guest at the World War II events in Pearl Harbor and Midway.  He has an eloquent way of describing the Battle of Midway.  Officer Wheeler's memorable duty and honor to uphold the freedom of this Nation will be reflected through the Club's fundraiser event on May 21, called "Tie A Yellow Ribbon."  This event will honor the South Baldwin soldiers and their families whose sacrifice keeps us free.

A $10 buffet luncheon will be served.  No reservations are needed.
