Rev. Edward Angelo Wallace, 75, a native of Gulf Shores and resident of Elberta, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2015.
He was the pastor and founder of Open Door Baptist Church and Open Door Christian School in Foley.
Rev. Wallace is preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Ann Wallace; and a son, Gerald Blaine Wallace.
Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Violet Wallace; daughter, Beth (Clayton) Guidroz; three sons, Edward Bruce Wallace, Joseph Brent (Angela) Wallace and Joel Blake (Heather) Wallace, all of Elberta; sisters, Delores Parks and Carolyn Jaye Miller, both of Bon Secour; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; uncle, Donnie (Vera) Bolton of Dickerson; and many other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley on Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, from 6 until 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held from Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. James Robinson and the Rev. Thomas Osterkamp officiating.
Interment will follow at Wallace Cemetery in Gulf Shores.
