Rev. Robert Edward Lord, 80, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016 in Atmore, Ala.
Rev. Lord was a native of Uriah, Ala. and a resident of Bay Minette, Ala. for the past 32 years.
He was a former employee of Brantley’s Tire with 40 years of service, and he was the pastor of The Holiness to God Church in Bay Minette, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Robert Earl Lord and James Edward Lord; daughter, Sarah Regina Lord; and ex-wife, Elizabeth Marie Bryars Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Lord of Spanish Fort, Ala.; five sons, Thomas Marvin (Shanna) Lord of Atmore, Ala., William Kirk (Diane) Lord of Providence, R.I., Stephen (Tammy) Lord of Bay Minette, Ala., Jeffrey David Eubanks of Dallas, Texas and Michael Eubanks of Mobile, Ala.; three daughters, Lydia Yvonne (Doug) Bowen of Excel, Ala., Becky Elaine (Marlon) Nelson of Atmore, Ala. and Shannon Marie (Rodney) Brooks of Atmore, Ala.; three brothers, Thomas Eugene (Betty) Lord of Atmore, Ala., Allen Mason (Betty) Lord of Pineville, Ky. and Johnny Franklin (Glenda) Lord of Garfield, Ky.; five sisters, Irene Godwin of Atmore, Ala., Ella Mae Boyette of Milton, Fla., Lilly Mae (Clyde) Harris of Flomaton, Ala., Mary Elizabeth Harris of Milton, Fla. and Glenda Diane (Byron) Kennington-Arrington of Milton, Fla.; 29 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home, with Sis. Helen Stewart officiating.
Burial will be at the White Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Wink Killam, Stephen Lord, Larry McDuffie, Eric McDuffie, Robert Rigby and Adam Hadley.
