DAPHNE, Ala. — The Daphne City Council welcomed a new face to the community during Monday’s regular meeting while bidding a fond farewell to a colleague and a less amicable goodbye to the city’s revenue officer.

City Clerk David Cohen said the revenue officer was fired last week.

He referred any comment on the dismissal to Mayor Fred Small. As of press time, Small was unavailable for comment, but the Daphne Bulletin will keep readers apprised of any notable developments at www.baldwincountynow.com as information becomes available.

The city’s website lists Cornell Smith as the revenue officer.
