Alice Elizabeth Page Rhodes, 89, a native of Peoria, Ill., and a resident of Bay Minette for 88 years, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008 at Oakwood Nursing Home in Bay Minette.
She was a retired elementary teacher. She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church in Bay Minette.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil V. Rhodes Jr. and brother, George K. Page.
Survivors include a son, Jack (Tina) Rhodes of Bay Minette; daughter, Mary Alice (David) Wratislaw of North Palm Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren; Stoney Jack Rhodes, Elizabeth Ann Rhodes, Dustin Blane Rhodes, Augustus John Chestnut II and David L. Wratislaw Jr.; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Thomas Mansfield Page of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, and Glen Alan “Pat” Page Sr. of Bay Minette.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1 at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Henry Cox and Dr. Chip Starnes officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
