Richard (Dick) Groscost, born May 18, 1928 in Beaver Falls, Pa. and a resident of Foley, for the past 23 years, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 with family by his side after a brief illness.
He was Director of Operations for OK Trucking Company in Cincinnati, Ohio for more than 30 years and retired to Foley. He was an avid golfer and had many friends, a member of the Foley United Methodist Church and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Groscost of 59 years; two children, David (Wanda) Groscost of French Settlement, La.; Karla (Donald) Brubaker of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was also the proud grandfather of Kaitlyn, Jenna and Molly Brubaker of Cincinnati, Ohio; two step-grandchildren, Kelly and Kiley Salassi of French Settlement, LA.; two great- grandchildren Jacob and Georgia Salassi of French Settlement; two sister-in-law's, Karen Harding and Betty Shanon of Clinton, N.C. Memorial service at Foley United Methodist Church, Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Memorial service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Foley United Methodist Church and Hospice.
