Richard Earl “Dadoo” Trent, age 72, a native of Logan, W.Va. and a resident of Ono Island, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012.

He was the owner of Dixie Hydraulic & Dixie Ventilation, member of Adamsville, Ala., Masonic Lodge. Avid Hunter and fisherman, a Nascar fan. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Wilma Perry Trent of Ono Island; two daughters, Regina (Joey)Turner of Hoover; Michelle (Michael) Smith of Sterrtt; one son; Richard Earl (April) Trent Jr. of Birmingham; sister, Sue (ED) Baldwin of Logan; three brothers, James “Sug” (Pat) Trent of Lindside,W.Va.; Larry Paul (Artie) Trent of Green River,Wym., eight grandchildren, Ric and Kathryn Trent; Trenton, Reagan and Logan Marbut; Jade, Holly  and Robin Turner, and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012 at 2-4 p.m. at The Discovery United Methodist Church in Hoover, Ala. Family will receive friends on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012 at the Chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley from 6 -8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Rheumatoid Arthritis Association.
