Richard Ellis Adamson, 58, born in Mobile and a resident of Daphne, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at a local hospital.
He was owner/operator of Grass Masters Lawn and Landscape. He was an amphibious assault vehicle operator and corporal of the guard, U.S. Marine Corps. Richard was a boat and fish enthusiast.
Mr. Adamson is survived by his wife, Margaret Adamson of Daphne; children, Eric (Deanna) Adamson of Murrieta, Calif., Tiffany (Chris) Barnett of Mobile and Joshua (Heather) Adamson of Spanish Fort; mother, Gladys Adamson of Daphne; sister, Caroline (Larry) Largent of Jefferson, Ga.; brother, Mike (Beverly) Adamson of Birmingham; five grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at 1 p.m., at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
The family will receive friends from noon until time of the service.
Interment will be in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort.
