Richard Lord Sr., 75, of Foley, Alabama, passed away on Oct. 10, 2016. After battling cancer for nine months, he passed away at his home with family by his side.
He was born in Pleasant Hill, Illinois Sept. 18, 1941. He loved God, his country, his family, working, farming, hunting, fishing and traveling.
He owned several successful businesses throughout his life, and in the later part of his life was able to travel, hunt and fish other parts of the United States.
He was preceded by his parents, Oliver and Audrey Lord; as well as his wife, Donna Lord.
He is succeeded by his siblings, Gloria Hall and her husband Jack, Curtis Lord Jr. and his wife Hannah, Gilbert Lord and his wife Sandy, and Julie Henderson; his children, Richard Lord Jr., Steve Lord and his wife Annette; his grandchildren, Richard Lord III and his wife Amanda, Kenneth Lord, Cameron Lord, Colten Lord; and great-grandchild, Juliet Lord.
Memorial service will be held Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Baptist Church in Magnolia Springs, Alabama. Family will be in attendance, and all friends are welcome.
